Brittanys in the Field

10/26/08 Portuguese Pointer Club of America Wallingford, CT
K Star Sidmar Sno's Best finishing his UKC GUN title.
Brittanys were originally bred for fur and feather. Though they mostly are used now for upland hunting, it isn't surprising why they do so well in many formats. Being classified as the smallest of the pointing breeds of mid range these little dogs have shown themselves to true hunters from grouse and woodcocks in the woods to chukar and sharpies in the big open prairies to quail in the deserts and pheasants in the field of the Midwest they do well on them all.
From being the Upland companion hunter even guiding on preserves to a variety of different field trials from walking trial to horseback to hunt tests the Brittany consistently shows a lot of heart in the field and love and companionship at home.
They all are champions in our hearts.
Thanks to Arlette Hennessey (K Nine Birddog) for her explanations.
